Mentoring-what's all that about?
Mentoring can mean different things to different people. It often coincides with coaching. Coaching is more about WHAT a person does. Mentoring is more about HOW they do it.
Whatever title is used is, to a degree, irrelevant. The key is to define what is wanted from a mentoring programme. How will you know it has been successful?
CTD has helped a number of organisations create a mentoring programme. We worked in conjunction with Hyde Housing to create a graduate mentoring scheme. We also helped Bunac create their regional managers mentoring programme. The targets were different but the route was the same.
