Foster Carers Peer Mentoring
The peer mentoring programme for foster carers has not only ran successfully but has also generated some very positive feedback. The benefits of such a peeer mentoring programme include

- Provides the opportunity for experienced carers to put even more back into the system

The programme is delivered by a trainer with a number of years fostering experience, which ensures the training is both relevant and practical.
Programme typically includes;
- Defining the Mentor's role
- Identifying typical issues that mentee may raise
- Stages in the mentoring relationship
- Effective Introductory meetings
- Key skills identified and practised
- Skill practise using scenarios applicable to Foster Carers
- Identify roles and responsibilities of mentor/mentee/organisation
- Identify and address potential pitfalls
- Explore potential benefits to all parties
The programme is usually delivered over two days (10.0-14.00 approx.) to accomodate carers on school runs. This can be adjusted to suit client.
Investment; £695 inclusive of all materials on site (external site charged at cost)
Alternatively we can help you introduce your own peer mentoring initiative around CWDC (Children's Workforce Development Council) and The Fostering Network guidelines (Indeed we worked with Bedford County Council Mentoring Team who are acknowledged in the latters guidelines)
We can also train your people to deliver this programme. A full two day programme for an investment of £895 inclusive of all materials for up to 6 delegates and £995 for 7-12 delegates
